Tammy Bellamy - Vice Chair

In 2008 Tammy was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia.
Tammy is a motivating advocate who has fearlessly created much needed support groups in rural Ontario.
Collaborating with a number of organizations she has helped in establishing strong relationships of support and has been instrumental in breaking down stigma. She is well-informed on dementia international advocacy strategies for pushing forward the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Highlights of her advocacy work include membership of the North East Ontario Local Health Integration Network & Alzheimer Society Steering Committee; Working Group member of the Ontario Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care Development of an Ontario Dementia Strategy.; and part of the Planning Team of the Dementia Action Alliance Conference being held in Georgia, USA in 2017.

Mary Beth Wighton - Chair

Mary Beth is a founding member of ODAG after she was diagnosed in 2012 with probable frontotemporal dementia at the age of 45.
She is an advocate for people living with dementia from local to the international level. She is considered a pioneer in promoting the rights of people with dementia, her work crosses many sectors including membership in the Canadian Dementia Working Group - a Task Force consortium of non-governmental disability organizations in Canada; appearing as a Witness for the Canadian Senate for its study on the issue of dementia in Canada; the Ontario Dementia Strategy Advisory group; ONDRI Patient Community Advisory Committee; Dementia Capacity Planning Clinical Advisory Committee, and others important groups.
